What time is check-in and check-out?

The official check-in time on the day of arrival is 16:00 hrs.

Apartments should be vacated by 10:00 hrs on the day of your departure.

What is the ‘tourist tax’ in Austria?

According to government rules, you have to pay a tourist tax in Austria – it is currently €1.55 per person, per night.

Children under 15 and the disabled  are free of charge (passport /disability ID  required).

There is no need to pay for this service in advance. We will add the amount on to your holiday account and you can simply pay when you leave.

What possibilities are there for shopping?

The general opening times for shops are  Monday to Friday from 08:00–19:00, Saturdays from 08:00–18:00 and closed on Sundays.

Restaurants, cafes and bars are open. You can get some essential groceries at several petrol stations in Saalfelden and Zell am See (but please note that they are quite expensive). The nearest supermarkets are in the centre of Saalfelden, about 5km from the resort.

Will we get a grocery ‘welcome pack’ on arrival?

Alpine Centre provides a welcome grocery pack:

  1. CLC World Members: free of charge
  2. Non CLC World Members: €14.50

Is there an internet connection at the CLC Alpine Centre?

Free WiFi is available in all our units, the lobby and restaurant area.

What if we arrive while reception is closed?

A late check-in while reception is closed is possible and very straightforward.

Go to the main entrance where you will find a call button with a telephone sign on the right hand-side of the door. Press this button to connect to our duty manager.  Tell him your reservation name and he will remotely open the door for you.  Go into the lobby. On our front desk you will find an envelope with your name on it. In it you will find the key cards to your apartment as well as a description on how to get to your apartment.

The full check-in procedure can be done at the front desk the next morning.

Is there car hire?

CLC Alpine Centre strongly recommends hiring a car as we are located just outside the city centre; This will making travelling round the region much easier.

Please be advised that car hire is not available at CLC Alpine Centre.  You can arrange this with  car hire companies at Salzburg airport or at some local car hire companies.

Visiting the CLC Alpine Centre and need directions?

When leaving Salzburg Airport follow the directions to Bad Reichenhall. From Bad Reichenhall follow the main road to Lofer. In Lofer follow the main road to Zell am See.

After approx. 30 km you will arrive in Saalfelden. Continue following signs to Zell am See. After approx. 5 km you will see CLC Alpine Centre situated on the left-hand side.

Do you provide Airport Transfers to CLC Alpine Centre?

The nearest airport to the resort is in Salzburg, roughly 65 km from the resort. Taxis, or the resort airport transport service, can be booked at Reception. Reservations must be made no later than 1 week before arrival.

What Payment Methods are accepted?

Cash & most major credit cards.

Do you have a Ski storage room?

The ski storage room is located in the basement of the hotel. Please note that you can access  it directly from the car park outside.

Are pets allowed?

Please note that pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Can you smoke in the resort?

The Alpine Centre is a smoke-free resort, however smoking is allowed on balconies and terraces where guests will find ashtrays supplied.
